Set in one of the most beautiful and most central locations in the BVI, Horizon Yacht Charter’s BVI Nanny Cay Marina base is located on the south side of Tortola, between the capital, Road Town and West End.
Nanny Cay Marina
We’ve been based in Nanny Cay since the very beginning in 1998 – we’ve never left, which must say something! It’s a modern and naturally sheltered marina with berths for 180 yachts and all the amenities you may need:
- A beach and swimming pool
- Luxury shower facilities and restrooms
- A high-speed fuel dock with water and ice made by Nanny Cay through their reverse osmosis plant
- 2 provisioning stores, 4 restaurants, a spa and boutiques
- Garbage disposal
- 120/220V electricity and 100% site-wide backup power
Nanny Cay Hotel
The Nanny Cay hotel has a charming forty-room hotel nestled in a tropical oasis garden setting in the heart of Tortola’s favourite Nanny Cay Marina. All hotel rooms have air conditioning, direct-dial telephone, cable television, daily maid service and private balconies overlooking the picturesque marina or tropical gardens. Kitchenettes and roll-away beds are available for a small supplement and infant cots available at no charge. Children stay free if under 12.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool and sun lounger area at our Nanny Cay resort base has a good breeze and great views over to Norman and Peter Island. The pool is open to the Nanny Cay hotel, marina guests and Horizon customers from 10 am to 6 pm daily.
Showers and Restrooms
The main shower area and restrooms are located behind the Hotel foyer. Restrooms are also located at Peg Legs near The Beach Bar and near the Horizon dock behind Omar’s.
Laundry
The Laundromat is open for self-service and full-service laundry (Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5 pm; Saturday 8.30 am to 12 noon; closed Sunday). A same-day laundry service is available for laundry delivered before 9.30 am.
Restaurants
- Omar’s Dockside located at the bottom of the Horizon office is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week!
- Captain Mulligans Sports Bar is located at the entrance of Nanny Cay and is a great place to watch any sporting event and grab some lunch or dinner. There is also a play area for kids.
- Peg Legs and The Beach Bar are located at the beach and has great ocean-side views. Enjoy lunch or dinner with your feet in the sand and a drink in hand!
- Island Roots just a short walk down the dock from Horizon, serves great coffee, smoothies and snacks.

Provisioning Stores
If you haven’t already provisioned before arriving or if you need to stock up on some last minute items before you set out on charter, there are two provisioning stores at Nanny Cay available to you:
- Riteway is located at the base of our office steps and is stocked with beverages, fresh produce and non-perishables.
- Relish located just off of Omar’s is a boutique provisioning store and has a wide range of wines and spirits as well as a selection of gluten-free and other food from the UK, USA and South Africa.
